2025 Scholarship
Winners
The Kansas City Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota held their annual Scholarship Auditions on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village, Kansas. Eight scholarships totaling $13,250 were awarded. Seven of the scholarships were funded by the Kansas City Music Foundation, and one, specifically for an organ student, was funded by the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
Twenty-four applicants performed for judges Un-Chong Christopher, Mikayla Dupont, and John Schaefer. The students came from six different area universities that included University of Missouri-Kansas City, University of Kansas, University of Central Missouri, Park University, Northwest Missouri State University, and MidAmerica Nazarene University.
The scholarship audition committee included Nanie Downs, chair, Holly Fagan and Lisa Davis.
All eight winners performed on the 2025 Scholarship Winners Concert at 7:00 PM on Monday, April 14, 2025, in the sanctuary at Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village, Kansas.
